On another note, looking back at these pictures, some of you guys were absolute Babies in 2006 and I was married and in my mid 20's. Thanks for making this guy feel old!

Why is my picture so small still? I tripled the size of it and its still too little.MQT1223 wrote:

Here's another one of me just so some of the other kids here know what it looks like to have a girlfriend.
If I could keep one then I would be on the same bandwagon DIB. You got a rare breed if you can get em to like trains.DelayInBlock wrote:LOL!Y@ wrote:I lol'd at the gr8 shot of Randy.

When I said "like" I guess I should've said accept. None of my ex. girlfriends ever accepted it and thought I was weird. They never last long after that...MagnumForce wrote:Why do they have to like trains? Most of us are well adjusted enough that railfanning is only a small part of our lives.
You don't need to do everything together and if you try to you have problems.
Then again I am an old married fart.
The moment any woman you're dating criticizes your hobby, it's time to kick her to the curb. Without acceptance of who you are and the passions you have in life, you'll never find happiness in a relationship. Fortunately my gf loves that I like trains and even calls me a foamer from time to time. She has no interest in trains, but loves that I enjoy the hobby of photographing them. The last girl I dated made ONE negative comment one day about me taking a couple of days to go photograph trains. I knew at that moment the end was near.MQT1223 wrote: When I said "like" I guess I should've said accept. None of my ex. girlfriends ever accepted it and thought I was weird. Oh yeah, that would be a deal breaker as well!Raildudes dad wrote: I think she really likes Tippy Cow also
Well I'd like to be in the same bandwagon that your in. After the first few girlfriends I was afraid to tell them. When I did we all know what happened after that... 1... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6 girlfriends later. Two I dated twice. I can say one of them we just didn't work, but she was ok with my hobby. They laugh at me (or the fact I like trains) when I tell them. I'm scared to tell new people I meet that I like trains until I know them more. Its amazing what a hobby can do for someone's personal opinion about someone. I'm 18 and I like trains. I model them, preserve them, collect them, video/photo them and research them. If you don't like my hobby then why are we even in a relationship you know? I don't need someone to roll their eyes at me because of my hobby. Heck my dad is sick of it half the time except for the collecting part, and anything to do with Southern Pacific 4449 because its orange (his favorite color).J T wrote:The moment any woman you're dating criticizes your hobby, it's time to kick her to the curb.
