Q11001 & Q63430

Unread post by sd70accsxt700 »

This past July got lucky out at East Fostoria, and caught Q11001 with CSXT 7386 & 7766, overtaking Q63430, with BNSF 9238, 8612, UP 5975, & 4755. Ya I met Scott that day not knowing who he was.

always enjoy the shots of a train overtaking another...have seen that a few times now in fostoria, plus scooter and i saw that once over in south bend...always surprising when you don't even know the other one is rounding the corner as well.

Caught this pass at Plymouth this past May. That's Flint-Detroit local D736 on the Right with CSXT 2522 and bound for Rougemere Yard, and Plymouth local D717 with CSXT 2669 and heading for Middlebelt on the left. They are both heading east through the "old village" neighborhood along the Detroit Subdivision.

Nice shot.
Is that a dwarf signal of some type between the trains?

Yes it is, that is the Mill St signal controls the switch that alows the single main to head for the Plymouth diamond, and on to GR, and the other leg, lets me get back home to Walbridg. It forms one of the four legs of the wyes, in plymouth you CAN go any direction from here.
