NICTD/CSS GP38-2
I was just looking at loco rosters in the deisel shop.us and seen thet NICTD/CSS has a GP38-2 #1000, that is a ex-GTW GP40 6405, exx- DTI 405. How I missed this is beyond me, as I am a huge CSS freak, but dose anybody have any more info on this. Also while looking in railpictures, I see lots of pictures of CSS transfers to CSX's Barr yard, any info on that (ie. time, days) would be helpfull to.

Not sure how much help it'll be to you, but the two times I've caught the CSS&SB with cars, it was after dark, although the last time I believe I caught a freight on that line would've been Friday night, after dark had pretty much fallen. The train was headed east toward Michigan City somewhere just west of the Burns Harbor sign just off of US12. Led by the 2001 or 2007 though, I think, so not the ex-GTW one. But if you're looking to catch 'em, I believe I've heard they run more at night than otherwise. You might want to as on MichiganRailroads.com as I know of at least one person in the South Bend area (pernament resident) who probably could provide better info.
