Music students and classier audiences everywhere have undoubtedly been entertained by the lighter side of classical music courtesy of the forgotten works of P D Q Bach; recently brought out of obscurity by one Peter Schickele of Bearsville, New York.

Schickele has won numerous Grammy awards for his work. To a large degree, Schickele's music as P. D. Q. Bach has overshadowed his work as a "serious" composer.

As a music student his gimmicks, commentaries, and compositions would have us rolling in aisles and the crowds always loved it when we did performances of his work.
