Creed a poor man’s Pearl Jam.

Here’s some tasty ear candy that in my opinion is a masterpiece. Blind Melon‘s self titled album Blind Melon.
Here’s a of link to the full album unfortunately you have to deal with some commercials.

I could not agree with you more music is art and art is subjective.

Been getting into Eminem’s older music lately, really haven’t dabbled in it since I’m into newer rap/hip/hop, didn’t know he did a take on Aerosmith’s dream on. Really like it. It’s called “Sing for the moment”.

Maybe a little too soft for this crowd but I've been enjoying some Bill Withers recently.

Excellent picks
I'll add an explosive version of the jazz standard The Chicken performed by Jaco Pastorius for his Birthday Concert. This song never fails to get me moving and as a bass player myself, it doesn't get much better than Jaco.
Don't be turned off by the fact that its jazz, it's worth the listen.

Speaking of The Chicken, here’s Gavin Harrison of Porcupine Tree/The Pineapple Thief/King Crimson doing a drum solo on David Letterman using bits of The Chicken.

"creme de la creme as they say in the creme business" :D
That Gavin guy is really something!

Switching genres, after haranguing me for months on end, I was finally convinced by a friend to listen through some of Glen Campbell's discography. In total I listened through the albums Wichita Lineman, Rhinestone Cowboy, and Southern Nights. While I didn't find anything on Lineman very memorable to me, I did like a number of tracks off the other two including:

For Cryin' Out Loud:

Let Go:

Country Boy:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v79n73FQ5aI

Comeback:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPWWL2_sg7s

I'm not usually one for country or 70s pop but each of these songs got locked in my head on repeat for days on end...so I figured there must be something to it. Going into this endeavor the only song I knew by Campbell was Southern Nights (still I believe this to be his best work) but I'm glad I finally heeded my friend's advice as I was missing out on some solid music.

Wake Me Up When September Ends - Green Day

https://youtu.be/rdpBZ5_b48g?si=fFLU1x9aD9VD6uAb

One of the things my girlfriend has wanted to do since she got her truck is put a good sound system in it, got all boujee and went with a AKG system. She and I have a shared playlist on spotify and I hit shuffle when I took it for a test drive just to see how it was working. Wake me up when september ends started playing first, which I haven’t heard in a hot sec. Holy crap, how much have I forgot of a heater this song really is. The guitar solo for some reason gives me some pretty serious goosebumps. One of those songs you forget about, then sounds even better when you hear it for the first time in a minute.
