Al Kaline's obit at The Detroit News:
https://www.detroitnews.com/story/sport ... 956782001/.
My first baseball glove in the late 1950s was an "Al Kaline" model. It was one of the old, flat "pancake" gloves. As a kid, I used to wonder how anyone could actually catch anything with a glove like that!
And it's a shame that today's pro (and college) athletes can't all have class and act like gentlemen like Mr. Kaline.
Here is Al getting his 3,000th hit:

And WDIV has a nice video tribute to Al at

Stirling Moss, ex-Formula 1 driver, has died at age 90.

A video tribute to Moss at
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DVpg5ubvyM. (Why do they always have to put stupid music in the background?)
Of course, whenever I think of race-car drivers, I think of the great quote from Rene Arnoux (who drove for different Formula 1 teams, mostly in the 1980s. Someone who interviewed Arnoux asked him what the difference was between tennis players and racing drivers. Arnoux answered, "A tennis player needs a racquet and balls. The race-car driver doesn't need a racquet!"

That music is subtle and pleasant. Very fitting for the video. Nothing stupid about it.

Robin Seymour has died at age 94.
https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/ ... 158326002/
For those who are too young to remember Mr. Seymour, or who did not grow up in the Detroit area back in the 1960s, he was a DJ on local Detroit-area radio stations. He also hosted "Swingin' Time," Detroit's own local "American Bandstand type of show (although the studio was in Windsor, Ontario). A lot of local bands got to play music on Swingin' Time. There's an early clip of Bob Seger on Swingin' Time at
