Nov. 30, 2019 -

John R. Milhaupt, former Grand Rapids Herald and WOOD TV news photographer, owner of Colorama Studio and 20+ year Editor of West Michigan Railroad Historical Society Waybill, aged 90 in Grand Rapids, Mich.

During his time with Robinson Studio in the late 1940s and early 1950s, he took many photos for the C&O PR department.

My condolences to you and your family Fritz . I have many good memories of him being both Treasurer of the WMRHS and a "reporter" for your dad editing the Waybill". I'd type up the latest sightings around town on the computer, save it to a floppy, bring it to your dad at the studio, BS a bit and take a floppy home for the next month. All before email, smart phones, message boards and the like.
