Not a celebrity, but my left big toe was amputated Saturday, Dec 29. I loved Big Lefty, took pictures of him right before his imenint demise, and will miss him. It was the end result, long-delayed of a bone infection inflicted by a clumsy passenger on the CAPITOL LIMITED who dropped his suitcase on Big Lefty back in August.
No pain, due to my neuropathy not knowing how to report the pain. I'm actually doing well and getting around, although I'm quite wobbly. No more pain meds, just massive antibiotics.
Always said I'd give my left leg to ride a train.

Not really a celebrity, but well known in Southwest Michigan, Fruit Farmer Herb Teichman of the Tree-Mendus Fruit Farm has died at the age of 88.
