Pretty cool European cab ride view through snowy mountains

Unread post by J T »

Sorry if this has already been posted here, but I was just watching this and got a bit mesmerized by the beauty of this line along with the long sequences of tunnels and snow sheds. These snow sheds in Norway put the snow sheds in the Sierras to shame! Pretty good sequence of them around the 50 minute mark until the trains stops at a station about 16 minutes later. I'm not sure how people can survive the dead of winter "up there."

Is this the Slow Train ride from Bergen to Oslo? Watched that a few months back. Great scenery just wished there had been a tad more narration about the construction of the line and current ops on it.

Yes. Tad more narration? Are you saying there is narration somewhere in the video? I didn't watch the entire thing, just skipped through to the section I mentioned in my post, and I didn't hear any narration.

Doesn't look very slow, either. The train seems to be moving at pretty good clip for a while.

I've watched several of HinduCowGirl's videos. She is the train driver. Narration in real time is probably something that can't happen.

Those are probably company cab videos and no narration allowed.
