In one of those segments, they claimed the track was abandoned, but the rails were shiney and clean! At 3:00 into the video, they say it was an abandoned railroad in Wisconsin. But the rails are shiney and well used!

We chase off Photographers all the time on SMRS one of my fears on our backup moves is some idiot popping out of the woods at the wrong moment while I am standing on the Caboose platform and unable to do anything but dump the air and pray. We had an incident a few years back of some kid under a bridge and sticking his head up at the last minute. The Brakeman dumped the air and nothing happened but it could have been much worse.
What smells like lube oil and diesel.... Oh wait it's just my "Locomotive Breath"
