I finally have an avatar. It is a picture of a US&S Style S Semaphore along Norfolk Southern's Tier Line in New York. Taken during the night in 2003. I've changed it to my favorite Grand Trunk Western steam locomotive: 2-8-2 #4070. 4070 was the last official steam locomotive to power a GTW freight, in doing so on March 29, 1960 on an extra train from Pontiac to Durand on the Holly Sub. The engine pulled excursions in the Midwest and East until 1990, when mechanical problems sidelined her. She resides in the former B&O roundhouse in Cleavland, Ohio. Waiting for the day when she will return to active service.
