I am now up to 14. After seeing online that the N&W unit was coming on 21G, I made a quick trip down to New Carlisle, IN, and, after being there about 20 minutes, this showed up at Smilax Rd. :D

edit:changed format of photo because old one wouldn't work anymore.

I am now up to 15, as I caught the Conrail unit a few hours ago near Near Carlisle, IN. :)

I didn't get that great of a photo because it was an eastbound and I was looking into the sun when it was coming, and didn't realize what I was taking a photo of at first.

I finally saw my first one the NKP unit leading sitting in the departure track at the East end of Fostoria waiting on a signal. I had no scanner with me as I was passing through the area on my way home from Easter Dinner. Tried to grab a couple of photos but only had the cell phone and the sun was still high so they did not turn out very well. And of coarse the Engineer was gracious enough to open the cab door so I could get a good view of the interior of the nose.

I really don't know why they think this bothers us, I couldn't care less.

The first ever NS heritage unit i saw (and mind you i live in WA) was oddly enough the Virginian ACe. After that it was the Conrail unit and the Cream Heritage unit that NS has, Cant think of the name.

The first EVER Heritage unit i caught was UP's Mopac Unit in 06 i think.

Amazingly, for as many trains as I see and as long as the heritage units have been out I saw my first one today. It was the NS CoG (IIRC) unit southwest out of Detroit through Romulus around 10am today.

Looks like Ecorse creek and CP Mill? Looks like the crossover from 2 to 1 in the foreground.

In the fore ground, the switch to track #7 on the "Old North bound" which was the main before the realignment .

The train is on # 2 Detroit line. Next is #1 Detroit line. And then the CN connecting track from "Coolidge" to "YD".

The bridge in the back ground , carries the now single track "Shoreline" main ( over Coolidge / Schaefer rd.) to the NS bridge.

This is front of the Conrail River Rouge yard office.

I'm up to 17 now, as I just saw the Pennsylvania RR Heritage Unit leading an eastbound intermodal through Chesterton, IN a few minutes ago. Too bad it is dark out. I didn't know it was coming or I'd have attempted a video.
At least I know I still have my Iron Horse Whispering skills.

Braving freezing rain and sleet, I went railfanning in Northern Indiana, and used my Iron Horse Whispering skills to catch the Pennsylvania Unit again, and managed to get a meh photo of it in the waning daylight near New Carlisle, IN.
This is another one of my accidental sightings, as I was expecting to see a westbound with the Interstate Unit. I did not see this one on the Heritageunits.com website.

Snowy and dreary, I got a photo of the Lehigh Valley unit this afternoon first in New Carlisle, IN, then LaPorte. Here it is going through LaPorte. The last time I saw this one, I had to chase it to LaPorte in March 2015..and took nightime photos of it near "Wire."

Here is one of my photos from March 28, 2015. (Found near the middle of page 8 in this thread.)

Maybe some day I'll see this on a bright, sunny day instead of at night or on a dreary winter day like today.

I used my Iron Horse Whispering skills on Saturday Night (8/11) and brought the Reading Unit through Marion OH for all of the people who had left Summerail and headed over to the Marion Union Station,
I have seen 18 now.
Here's a video I took.
