With that hint, it's in Delta Twp at Hawk Meadow Park~Z~ wrote:It's on CSX, east of Lake Odessa somewhere, not on the plymouth-flint section, and track here is single track.
Yes, it's at the Hawk Meadow Park on the north side of Delta River Drive, just east of Ingersoll Road in Delta Township, Eaton County, just west of Lansing. South of BL I-96 (Grand River Road). CSX RR Plymouth Sub can be seen in the distance. The floating bridge over the unamed lake looking north toward the former C&O Railway trackage. A old late neighborhood friend of my late dad, and his family lived in house on Bradford Lane in the Willowbrook Estates about a mile directly south of the park in Delta Township, until he passed away July 8, 2006 ten years later that Bradford Lane house was sold.DaveO wrote:With that hint, it's in Delta Twp at Hawk Meadow Park~Z~ wrote:It's on CSX, east of Lake Odessa somewhere, not on the plymouth-flint section, and track here is single track.
Correct Dave. Was out running errarnds with a buddy of mine in Lansing, said he wanted to walk in a nearby park, saw the bridge, headed that direction and when I got there, I told him "I know this spot! I've seen this on google maps before when looking for spots to possibly get train photos from one day."DaveO wrote:With that hint, it's in Delta Twp at Hawk Meadow Park~Z~ wrote:It's on CSX, east of Lake Odessa somewhere, not on the plymouth-flint section, and track here is single track.
Well, now I need to do some exploring. Not that I'll ever be lucky enough to catch a train there though.~Z~ wrote: Correct Dave.
