Would never have guessed without looking closely at the name of the museum and then doing a Google search.

Conrail Detroit, I would not have thought of you posting something outside the Detroit area let alone another state. I turned on my hi-res browser and read a few signs in the picture. Harper's Ferry, WV. Looks like a nice place!

Yup, indeed, Harpers Ferry, WV looking northwest with the Amtrak/CSX line and the Potomac River both on the right (not visible) in the Jefferson County Schools district, Jefferson County, WV. Amtrak operating trains 29 and 30 between Washington, DC and Chicago with stop at Harpers Ferry, WV.~Z~ wrote:Yuppers, that museum helped... Harper's ferry WV.

In that case, it looks like the old IC south of Chicago, possibly near Homewood.ConrailDetroit wrote:Not Imlay. This one will be difficult for most Michigan people.

Re: Where Is It?
Judging by the overhead wires for the Metra electric commuter trains. It's somewhere around Homewood, IL.GreatLakesRailfan wrote:In that case, it looks like the old IC south of Chicago, possibly near Homewood.ConrailDetroit wrote:Not Imlay. This one will be difficult for most Michigan people.

Re: Where Is It?
Looks like its between Milwaukee Jct. and West Detroit. I'll have to look a little more to guess exactly where.

Re: Where Is It?
AARR has the right idea but not specifically between the junctions.
