Close! This is UP territory, the Phoenix sub. Gilbert, AZ.

S. Val Vista Drive, Gilbert, AZ crossing the UP's Phoenix Sub. southeast of Phoenix. The shot above is looking north. In Gilbert, AZ, Maricopa County, AZ. Final run of the remaining passenger train through Gilbert, AZ was the Amtrak Sunset Limited, train nos. 1 and 2 , which was rerouted to operating on the Gila Bend Sub via Gila Bend and Maricopa, AZ effective May 28, 1996.

Well the clue that said AARR might know this suggests SE Michigan. I've spent several hours today (nothing else to do) following miles of bike trails on google earth to no avail. Might need another hint on this Mike.

Could it be near the old Ford Trim plant (Shelby Twp)? That would be in AARR's neck of the woods...

I agree with blueheron. It looks like somewhere in Stony Creek Park. But I don't know the exact location.

Correct. In fact Google Maps has the trail listed as "Trolly Line Trail" off Trolly Drive https://goo.gl/maps/54yedEJvqjo

Yes, Trolly Drive and the Trolly Line Trail in the Stoney Creek Metropark, looking northeast, north of 26 Mile Road and west of Mounds Road in Washington Township, Macomb County.

Wild first impression guess without looking at the clues. I'll go with Cleveland, Ohio.

It's an urban area and has some of those high trestles scattered about.

My guess is close, I have the right country. I noticed the tank. Wasn't much help with wild guessing the location.

My first off the cuff guess is somewhere on the BNSF (former BN) high line. in Montanna? maybe Washington state. I won't be able to get more zero-ed in than that with out blowing up the picture and studying the clues.

Old GLC RR Cadillac Terminal office on Lake Street in Cadillac, Wexford County, looking south with Lake Cadillac on the right (not visible). It's north of the old AA RR depot in downtown Cadillac.

Yes, that Jefferson Hwy., looking west toward the Huey P. Long Bridge that carry the old SP now UP RR/Amtrak Line over the Mississippi River at the left (not visible). in Bridge City, LA near New Orleans. The Amtrak Sunset Limited operates three days week between New Orleans and LA. The grade crossing in the background with the overhead crossing signals is the spur to the rail customers between Jefferson Hwy. and the north side of the river. US-90 freeway bridges can be seen in the background.
