Correct. Rails only visible during this time of year with no vegetation.

Found North Forman Street just of Barron Street in Detroit but I could not located on the Google map. The only tracks I found that are visible were the ones that ran between North Forman Street and the Rouge River. Please post a map of the exact location of the above shot. Thanks!

This is the crossing where this spur crossed Forman St. There was a diamond where it crossed the Forman wye and then connected to CSX Trackage just west of Delray Tower.

With a bit of knowledge of Michigan railroads, there ought to be enough in the details here to pin point where this is. But let's see.

Must be somewhere on the NS/Amtrak Michigan Line. That's either train numbers 351,352, 353 or 354 all with a single engine. Trains 350-355 and trains 364/365 have a loco at each end of the latter four trains.

It's not Lansing. CN built a small yard to stage cars headed to the Delta plant. Look in the autoracks in the distance. Who in Michigan has Amtrak and stores cars in their jointed rail mainline sidings?

Not NS, CN or Amtrak's Michigan line. They handle Amtrak and have light enough traffic to be storing idle autoracks in the sidings.

Perhaps an obscure clue but if you were a underground mine operator interested in purchasing a mechanical scaler or concrete sprayer, you might visit the nearby town in ear shot of the track.

Yes, Bangor MI on CSX.
Yes, that's Amtrak train #371, the Pere Marquette, on the CSX Grand Rapids Sub, just departed Bangor on a morning and is headed southbound between 34th Avenue and the next crossing 60th 1/2 Street, in the Bangor Public Schools district, Bangor Township, Van Buren County. The train is headed to its next stop St. Joseph and final destination Chicago. Its have a Bangor, MI 49013 address. Train 371 depart Bangor every morning at 7:38 am southbound and train 370 depart at 9:51 pm every evenings northbound. There are four strings of empty autorack cars all separated by road crossings, the third string of empty autoracks on the siding between 34th Street (visible in the background) and 60th 1/2 Street in that shot above, all in Bangor Township, Van Buren County.

The railroad should be obvious. It had been a long time since this piece of track saw a train this long.

Guessing you are on the Hastings Running Track that goes toward 36th/Eastern Ave in Grand Rapids on Grand Elk, and you are photographing from Plaster Creek Family Park off of Buchanan Ave?

It went southeast out of Plainwell a short distance before turning south toward Kalamazoo. North of Plainwell the Michigan Electric crossed with a line between Allegan and Battle Creek.
