Not many clues in the photo itself but it won't surprise me if someone gets it right away.

Yes, that's Bougue Street, looking north crossing the CN Flint Sub, on the MSU campus in East Lansing, Ingham County. Amtrak trains nos. 365/364 run between Port Huron and Chicago with stop in East Lansing at 8:36am every mornings (train 365) and 8:42pm every evenings (train 364). The East Lansing Amtrak/CATA station is about less a mile with of the above shot>

Yes, that's Old Coldwater Road, looking west and the CSX RR main line, just west of Dort Highway (M-54), in Mt. Morris Township, just north of Flint, Genesee County. The current Coldwater Road overpass is to the right of the above shot. Final run of the remaining passenger train on the old C&O Railway between Detroit and Saginaw with stops in downtown Flint, was made on October 29, 1950. The north end of McGrew Yard is to the left of the above shot.

Island Lake State Park. This area will see the resumption of sand/gravel mining. According to dear governor, this mining will help the park and the environment in a positive manner. I think visitors to the park, especially those doing some mountain biking or using Spring Mill Pond are probably going to be thinking something else in a not so positive manner.

Not sure if it's the state park. That may be the gravel company property nearby the state park, off of Silver Lake road, Green Oak Township.

No, no, no, and no. It is on a shortline railroad though in Michigan. Somewhere south of Lansing.
