Re: Where Is It?
Found it, its Croswell, in the Michigan thumb. Located on the HESR RR and M-90. The spur to the left is to the Michigan Sugar Plant in Croswell, Sanilac County. The road in the foreground is M-90. The road to the right is Croswell Road. The end of the line is less a mile south of M-90. Passenger train service on the former C&O Railway line between Port Huron and Bad Axe. was discomtinued many years ago.AARR wrote:Croswell I think. Cryptic clues are fun.
Took sometime to figure out that the solution had to have a mainline with the not really used too much look.
The far reach of the HESR fit that.

Well that was too fast. To quote the wiki, the number of tank cars that BASF receives is "More than AARR would expect "http://railroadfan.com/wiki/index.php/M ... ivision.29AARR wrote:MS spur to former Bayer plant now BASF?

Re: Where Is It?
Yes, its the spur to the BNSF, (former Bayer) plant, in Muskegon Township, Muskegon County. The spur is west of the connection with the Michigan Shore RR that run between Muskegon and Fremont. The MS was the former C&O Railway Hart branch that an between Muskegon and Hart. Passenger train service between Muskegon and Hart and Pentwater, was discontinued many years ago.AARR wrote: I think my guess was 50 a year but someone said they'll get 50 carloads during a busy month so I was off a little .~Z~ wrote:To quote the wiki, the number of tank cars that BASF receives is "More than AARR would expect "

Another great industrial picture! Is it in the Kalamazoo area? Perhaps one of the LC Howard warehouses?

Just checked the google map. it is at LC Howard Warehouse. 1919 Factory Street on the east side of the street. The spur is west off the connection with the old Pennsylvania RR former GR&I) main line.

Look like a centerbeam (unload plywoods) transloads somewhere in southeast Michigan. Off the connection with the Grand Elk, GLC, HESR, or the LSRC?Michael wrote:I didn't even realize LC Howard was written on the trailer and the building
