eastern end of old keewenaw Central at Mandan, MI in the da UP Keewenaw County, MI No railroads at all in Copper Harbor, MI

I didn't think it was possible to go further north in MI than Cooper Harbor. Was there a railroad on Isle Royale?

Yes, there was a railroad on Isle Royale, MI it was called Isle Royale Copper Railroad.

There ya go guys, quite correct. I just gave it a guess that such a RR might have existed. I did quite a bit of searching to come up with what little I posted. Maybe someone knows more about this operation.

Well I'm still finding bits of info of the place. Seems the RR first started at McCargo Cove on the NE side of the Island and went on to the Minong Mine area. See map. Then it branched out to several areas.

And to look at the island I cannot find a single trace of the abandoned ROW

Well it's there, today I found photo of a sliver of the row, maybe 40 ft or so. Most of the visitors probably don't care of the rr and take pictures of nature instead. Built lightly and with little to no use over the years, not even foot traffic I think they have disappeared.
