One of Obama's stops is with the Ilitch's for a $40,000 per person fund raiser. Sounds like 1%ers too me

It was funny as I was along the Detroit River the other day and swore I saw Marine 1 fly down the river... now I understand why.

Union Pacific still has a classic style, so obviously you have no sense of history.

Obama first stop was at The Henry Ford in Dearborn, which closed at noon to accommodate the POTUS.

Then he was going to a fundraiser at Denise Ilitchs home in Bingham Farms. Shes big in the democratic party in Michigan, and is on the board of regents at UofM.

What do you think Air Force 1 is for? Only for republican presidents to use? Last time I checked it was for transporting the president securely and safely , regardless of the party.

I was at Greenfield Village (next to Henry Ford Museum) yesterday and noticed various law enforcement rolling in car after car. I rarely watch/listen to the news but now I know why all the police were there!

Never more will I buy any Little Caesar's pizza (or anything else from the Ilitches). Obviously, they have so much of their own money, that they don't need any of my money. I also don't support folks who don't support my values, a la the Ilitches supporting the Socialist-in-Chief! PS I also haven't gone the the Tigers or Wings games for ages, not since Ilitch bought them.

If it's class warfare that the Zero-bama types want, they've got it! Boycotts work both ways.

Just wondering if the board is going to allow political comments to start on this board this year?

That is the great thing about a democracy, you can boycott anything you like. So it looks like I will eat pizza and ride my bike and you'll not be eating pizza but will be drinking oil from republicorp.

I surely hope the Obama reelection fund is paying the costs for the use of Air Force One. The last I read it costs $186,000 dollars per flight hour. I'm sure that includes the costs of flight crew, fuel, maintenance catering and many other things.

I would hate to think these costs are incurred by taxpayers unless the plane was on official business.

Not intended to be political; just an observation of information gleaned from various aviation forums. 747's are expensive to operate.

A friend of my daughter works on the security detail at Andrews Airforce Base where the planes are home based. She does have some good stories  Lots of boredom punctated by VIPS and adventures.
