RR Memorabilia Question

Unread post by Eric Berger »

I recently acquired a Centennial ticket dater at a train show. It's a very nice unit, and it does a great job stamping the date on the various documents I need to date...but I have come into a slight problem, and I'm hoping somebody can assist me here.

The problem is that it needs a new ribbon, as it's been printing very dim. I visited several office supply retailers, including Staples (Told me I should update my equipment from antiques,) and Audette in Dearborn (Told me they hadn't even heard of 1¼" ribbon.) Today I checked the search engine, which brought me to an outfit in Georgia...called them up...and they didn't even have a clue as to what this was.

So, my question is...where would I go to get a ribbon for this? I would like to continue to use the dater.

Any assistance you can provide would be GREATLY appreciated.
