Do you think they really need any of this type. 6 axles are nice but kinda heavy for the LSRC unless they were kept from Sag south. Why not get some GOOD 4 axles that they could use system wide and not buy junkers like the sd40 turned out to be

Was that where beavers built a dam on a creek and washed out the tracks?

Yes I memory serves me right the second unit was the 8317, or mabey the 8417. There was a photo of the cab of the unit a while ago when it had been scraped.

the fact that the LSRC is still using 4 axles on the road trains to flint tells me that YES, they COULD use some of these units. Their road units should stay on the north line. 6 axles like the 5921 are for saginaw south. with all the coal, grain and general freight. yup, they're gonna want more than just one 6 axle soon enough. springs coming someplace and saginaw is gonna get busy once places like peavy begin shipping.

Man, if they were interested, and then went and got that SD45-2..I would hitch hike to Saginaw to see it! I think both the HESR, and the SBS(LSRC) could benifit from them SD38's..would be good for the HESR anyhow..with them already having a bunch of 38's..interchangable parts!
