Trains Engineers and Conductors.

Hello, my name is Andrew, I'm in the 10th grade, and I'm interested in knowing about how and where I should go to get a railroad liciens or whatever in need to get a job. I also would like any tips on what railroads would be a better choice, just incase there is any majior differance. Basically any tips on how I should go about getting a job as a conductor or engineer.

Well, Andrew, first thing I would suggest is breezing past the Websites of various railroads -- Norfolk Southern, CSX, CN, etc. A lot of times they'll have a link that says something about "Employment." You could check there and see if there's somebody you can contact there regarding what to do to get hired.

Schooling helps. There's more out there in the way of vocational schools but here's one such school's website to look over and consider.
