The bridge design is the work of Moriyama & Teshima, a member of the "Bridging North America" consortium. The bridge will have an "A" shape, six-lanes for automotive traffic, with a cycle and walking path. It will be 2.5 kilometres (1.6 mi) long. It will have the longest main span of any cable-stayed bridge in North America at 853 metres (2,799 ft).

Start date: Workers broke ground on July 17, 2018
Completion date: 2024

Trump isn't going to like this one bit! All those hosers with their babies and hockey sticks will be flooding into this country.

Since when does Trump's opinion carry any weight in Michigan? For all of the things he's said about our state and the companies based here, anyone he's addressed has perhaps listened, then gone off and done what they were going to do in the first place.

The new bridge won't do much more than move some of the trucks hauling hazardous materials from the Blue Water Bridge to the new bridge in Detroit. It's not unusual to see just as many Ontario plates in this part of the state as Michigan plates- a new bridge won't do anything to increase those numbers.

They'll be stopped by the wall D.J. will build on the border.
