Ok a little hint, A local grocery store manicures the remains of this ROW in their front yard. Nice job I think.Pixl wrote:Two different railroads come together near this spot and share the rails that used to be here into town. NM

It's not Petoskey, Kaleva, or Ionia. How about Howard City?

Greilickville, looking north on Leelanau Trail (aka Traverse Area Recreation Trail), just north of M-72 and M-22 intersection in Greilickville, Traverse City Area Public Schools district, Elmwood Township, Leelanau County. Tom's Food Market is at the left (not visible). The BATA bus line currently servicing the communities along M-22 between TC and Northport. The rail trail was the former C&O Ry line that ran between TC and Northport. The old PM (later C&O) and the M&NW railroads were merged to went north through Greilickville.

Re: Where Is It?
Greilickville it is. Very good.
Actually the Leelanau Transit RR built thru here first, headed North to Northport where they connected with a cross lake Michigan ferry to manistique.
Later the Manistee and NE RR came in and shared the track into TC connecting at Rennies Jct. about 4 1/2 miles North of the photo.

Re: Where Is It?
That's Lennon Road looking northeast on the Huron & Eastern RR (former GTW, former Central Michigan railroads) in Lennon, Durand Area Schools district, Shiawassee County. Lennon is also located on M-13. Passenger train service on the old GTW which was a mixed train was discontinued on December 31, 1955.AARR wrote:Between Marlette and Brown City?Michael wrote:On Huron and Eastern RR? Correct.
