Not sure if anyone really cares but for those who do:
Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Sergeant Lisa Zuk died of breast cancer at the Rose Arbor hospice in Oshtemo earlier today. She worked out of Station 2, which serves Kalamazoo's Edison and Milwood neighborhoods and houses Engine Co. 2 and Rescue Co. 2.
She was 37 years old and leaves behind a 3 year old daughter and a husband, who is also a police officer.

She was 2 yrs ahead of me in High School. I played football, band, was friends, and graduated with her brother. Her dad did the PA stuff for the band and announced the home football games. Extremely nice family.

Cancer sucks. It took my older sister when she was 37 with a 1-year-old son. Now it's taking my mom.
