Dynamic brake grid from an EMD mounted on a trailer as a portable load tester for locomotives. They hook the traction motor leads directly to it and test the power generating capabilities of the motor/generator after rebuilds or work.

WINNER , WINNER ! Chicken dinner :-) Railserve also uses it to burn off the build up in the stacks.

We had a resistor unit from a junked EMD mounted on a utility trailer for that purpose.
