I got a request from someone on a tutorial on how to link thumbnails here...so here's a brief rundown.

Let's say you upload a photo to railroadfan.com, and want to show on this message board a small thumbnail, but when you click the thumbnail, it shows you the page that picture is located on.. Here's how to do it.

For instance, if you wanted to make a thumbnail of this pic, http://railroadfan.com/gallery/displayi ... ?pos=-9208

First, type in

Code: Select all

[url=
then copy the link such as:

Code: Select all

http://railroadfan.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-9208
put a

Code: Select all

next, copy the thumbnail location for the image...you need to right click on it's thumbnail, and copy the address of the image, like so:

Code: Select all

http://www.railroadfan.com/gallery/albums/ohio/fostoria/thumb_fostoria146.jpg
Lastly, end it with the

Code: Select all

[/img]
tags.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

It will end up looking like this:

Code: Select all

Final result is this:
Image

--------------------------------------------------------------

If you want to link to the full size image instead of the page it's located on, you can replace the URL area with the link for the full size image, so it'll look like this:

Code: Select all

Final result is this:

See how the 1st one linked the page, and the 2nd one linked the image? Hope this helps people...this has been a public service annoucement, or something along those lines.
