Issue logging into chatroom

I'm not sure if this an issue with my computer or not...

Occasionally I'll get the page asking me to log into the chat room rather than just loading the chat room when I click the link (or type in the URL). More often than not, once I enter my password, my web browser freezes. I'm using what I believe to be the latest version of Mozilla Firefox and Panda antivirus software. Any suggestions?
