Called for S28706 (yeah right). When I made my move to mark up I seen that Q151 was in the computer to run but had no engineers. Guess what? I had a felling that would change before I got to work. So.......

We arrived at the bullpen to find out that he was still at Pemberville, stuck behind some train that got caught by the DD. Well he arived at 09:00, and were on board and ready to leave at 09:10. At Union St. we see the Q39406, with CSXT 7817, 8582, 8223, & 2569, pull into the yard, from Stanley, with 84 cars. Then at Dry Creek we see K59905, with CSXT 7529 & 7791, and 76 empty steel coil cars. We stop at Vickers, at 09:45, and as we are stopping we see....

I06, eastbound, at 09:44, with NS 9397, 6134, & 6187, ? cars.
Next at 09:50, we have the 28Z (? I thought that what I heard), with NS 9645 & 9095, with 125 loads, and 4 empties, (long count), with 194 containers. We depart at 09:58, and pass the southbound Q23105 as we cross the diamond. He had HLCX 7178, CSXT 8532, & 8606, 15 loaded, and 1 empty(long count) platforms, with 27 containers plus 65 auto racks.

At Pickel Rd. we passed Q39906, with CSXT 8536, and 86 cars. As we round the curve past the docks, we see a loaded ballast train, with CSXT 7138 & 7037, waiting for a crew, and also K18506, with CSXT 4725 & 132, with 125 cars, waiting to leave after we pass. At GTW we pass the Z24106, with IC 6015 & CN 2518, with 71 cars bound for Walbridge. As we cross the boarder, we pass our last train until Oakwood yard, the Q29006, with HLCX 6055 & 6318, and 41 auto racks.

We stop for twenty minuets at the hold out, before we come north. When we come north, we see the CP 528, getting a air test, with CP 9823 & 9557, and also the Tri Level job, switching with remote, NS 5252, all at 12:32. We pass Delray Tower, and get our picture taken, and arrive at Livernois at 13:00. As we come to a stop for yarding instructions, we see Q30506, pulling out of the yard to leave, with CSXT 8120 & 8302, with 43 cars. As he leaves, we see 38E, come past Waterman, with NS 9877 & 6786, at 13:18, with at least 73 cars. We are so long that I end up back underneath the CSX bridge over the CR at CP LOU. and watch Q21606, depart Rouge above, with CSXT 8543 & 8728, 3 auto parts, 31 auto racks, and 26 mixed. Also taking head room from Shaffer tower, was NS 961, with a 8-44CW, and a SD something, all at 14:15.

We made our way to the hotel, and then deadheaded home at 09:30 this morning.

hmm...not nearly as often as i thought. is the line between toledo and detroit just not very scenic? or no place for the regular railfans to sit out and watch this line?

I think it is good enough, but I dont know why more fans dont come out. Heck it rare to see more than two or three fans a week at Vickers
