The Huron Central RW shunting the east end of their yard, utilizing engines from other sister Genesse & Wyoming railroads. The SW-1500 is from the Quebec & Gatineau Railway and the GP-38 is from the Goderich & Exeter Railway.

The Huron Central is constantly rumored to shut down due to lack of provincial and federal funding.

As always excellent pictures CRD!
So the Huron Central is still in operation. Seems like they're discussing shutting down every now and then.

Re: Sault St Marie 9.1 / 9.2
I did the ride up to the canyon in July and the mosquitoes were bad in the park then....hopefully not so for you
must be the ratty lookin' wide nose GP38 was the yard switcher....they were using an even rattier looking GT GP38 in July
oh yeah AAAARRRR, G&W pulls this stunt every now and then on this rayrhode....just 'cause they overpaid for this line and it's not making enough money for them....I say, let Ontario call their bluff and have the orange menace leave; then bring in someone not a conglomerate who will actually work to bring this line back and not just suck it dry
