Friday 12/23

Conrail LV-4 returns back to Livernois from the Terminal West with 2 Tankers.

At CP Lou, Conrail LV-9 crosses over to the Michigan Ave Connector to CSX with cars for Dearborn Steel.

Up above on CSX, D717 arrives at Rougemere from Plymouth.

At Rougemere, a classic Chessie Caboose was present. This Caboose was formerly in Plymouth.

At the Conrail Bridge, CN 451 crosses over the Rouge River.

At Delray, CSX Q132 with Union Pacific Leaders enters their final stretch of track to Livernois.

Saturday 12/24

NS 31M heads south on Conrail's Detroit Line.

NS BD12 sits lite engine waiting for CSX Y122 to head to Livernois with Conrail interchange cars.

After waiting for all of the other railroads, CP T-27 turns the corner to Oakwood.

On the "Main", CSX Y194 shoves down the Boat Line with the Chessie Caboose Leading.

They shoved all the way from Rougemere to the 12th St Transload with the caboose to eliminate the need to run around, using less time.

Back at the Reserve Yard, BD12 has their Container Cars and is ready to return back to Oakwood.

At Delray, a very long NS 332 waits for two CP Eastbounds to pass through. After they did, they pulled forward for headroom to shove into River Rouge Yard.

Q151 prepares to leave Detroit on the Lincoln Secondary after all of the junctions and bridges are clear.

CN 451 heads north with 7 engines, 5 of them BNSF.

After all of the roadfreights were clear, BD12 returned back to Oakwood.

Later in Mexican Town, CP T-28 slows down to let a Westbound CP Train clear the Tunnel before they could return to Windsor.

Thanks, CRD. I like your trip reports. Even though the temperature was 40ish it was very damp and at least to me chilly.
PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...

The 24th was crazy between 10am and 1pm at delray. Just non stop action and work. Really good day to be down there.

Where was CN 451 going with the five BNSF locos? I'm assuming they were dead in tow. They were apparently headed away from their home rails.

451 turns north to Durand then west on the Flint Sub to one of the yards in the Chicago area. Others may be able to tell which one.

I notice the old MC depot is looking a lot better these days. Anyone know what Mattie has in mind? Those new windows must have cost a small fortune.
