9/2/16 and 9/3/16 Trip Report - Chesterton Area (CSX and NS)

Took a trip down to the Chesterton area, where both the NS Chicago Line and CSX Garrett Sub run in close proximity of each other. Here is a timeline of what I saw.
9/2/2016
Alida, Indiana - CSX Garrett Sub
- Between 6pm and 9pm, 14 trains were observed on the Garrett Sub near Alida. Did not have scanner with me. 8 intermodals, 5 manifests, 1 oil.
9/3/2016
Chesterton IN - NS Chicago Line
15 trains passed between 8 AM and 5 PM. Was incredibly slow.
