Ep. 474: Highball at the Iron Triangle! Fostoria, OH

May 22, 2016 FOSTORIA, OHIO -- Northwest Ohio's famed railroad hotspot, Fostoria's Iron Triangle, is perhaps the single busiest spot for railroad action east of the Mississippi - or even anywhere.

Where three lines cross and connect, the junction has a certain habit in being bogged down by traffic. But in this case, no restrictive signals were encountered, allowing this eastbound manifest to steam east at track speed.

Seen from the east side of the junction, CSXT 5399 leads 'em east, on an early afternoon tear through the Steel Polygon of Industry that is Fostoria, Ohio's railroad scene.

Consist:
- CSX 5399 [ES40DC]
- CSX 7820 [C40-8W]
- 45 cars [Mixed]
Location/Time:
- CSX Willard Sub, Fostoria, OH, Columbus Ave xing, on 5-22-16 at 12:37 EDT
