March Marquette Trip

Unread post by CAT345C »

At the beginning of March a last minute trip to Marquette was made for some beer and fish from Vierling fried fish and some beer at Ore Dock Brewing company. Well we managed to find some trains that weekend too so here are the shots.

Here the 7-Weigher on March 5th heads through Eagle Mills Jct bound for the Tilden Mine after some fresh snow.

Later that day we caught up with the Escanaba Dumper Job

That evening after a fantastic dinner at Vierlings we managed to grab a shot of the Mineral Range as they were tying up for the night.

On Sunday March 6th we found the 7-Weigher running around their train at Eagle Mills

And a short while later going by the Empire Mine

Thanks for the pictures Mike. We didn't get to see much on our trip up there last summer. Our stops are Huron Mountain Bakery for German chocolate donuts, Border Grill, Jean Kay's Pasties, and Casa Calabria. The wife always has to hit up the NMU Bookstore for alumni gear and The Vierling for a brew or two.

CAT, I see in a couple of those pictures the evil train crew opened the front door of the short hood to ruin your shots
