Amtrak for Michigan! Pure Michigan Trains Nov 2015

In this November Edition of Pure Michigan Trains:

It’s Amtrak for Michigan, as extra trains roll for the Thanksgiving travel rush.

On November 25th, the day before Thanksgiving, we’ll capture the normal and extra running of the Pere Marquette, along with 110-mile per hour action on the Michigan Line at Three Oaks.

In all, we catch:
#371 at Grandville, St. Joseph River and St. Joseph Bluff
#350, 351, 356 and 365 at Three Oaks
#372 at New Buffalo, Coloma and Holland
#373 at New Richmond
NS B05 at Three Oaks

So enjoy this fast-paced look at how Amtrak moves the State of Michigan, presented by the Thornapple River Rail Series.

Excellent series, great documentation of west Michigan passenger train action across multiple lines. Also, nice to see B05, I feel like that train is discussed from time to time but you rarely see photos of video....especially with 4 units!

Did you see me at the New Richmond Bridge? You parked right next to me in the lot but I'm not sure you even saw me, I got a great still shot of 373 sweeping around the curve from just above the former Allegan Road underpass on the north side.

Nice work!

Coasting down Saugatuck Hill, train 373 approaches the Kalamazoo River Bridge on 11/25/2015.

GP30, I totally didn't see you! I was in a bit of a rush because I wasn't sure how much time I had to get all the way across the river.

Yeah. It beats those stingy CSX folks who won't put more than two units on a heavy coal train to get over Saugatuck Hill.
