What a great opportunity for some train photography.
You had some nice positioning such as the boat in the foreground and the train across the bay traveling along side each other.
I don't know about your old camera being a problem, but you need to lose the tripod.
Your video would be easier to watch if you edit out the panning.

I agree with that 100%. It was my first time trying something like this... I'll get something better this year
