Re: Toronto 11.15 & 11.16
Great documentation of the variety of passenger action around Canada's largest city! I love Toronto and have a few photos from there but have never really spent any considerable time railfanning, it's usually been just a convenient moment where I've been able to snap a photo or something coming by. An exception would be the Roundhouse Exhibiton areas downtown, which I did explore about 5 years ago. And a day spent watching TTC streetcars. I really enjoyed your Via photos (especially the Canadian) and the museum stuff. Question: what's the deal with the brighter green GO coaches? Are they slowly converting to a new scheme? Or does the difference in color signify something special, since there never seems to be more than one per train?

Dont know about the paint scheme, maybe someone else can answer?
Re: Toronto 11.15 & 11.16
I didn't know that the GP7's ordered by CN had flexi coil trucks. They had a sizeable fleet of GP9's with flexi coil trucks too.

Re: Toronto 11.15 & 11.16
I am surprised at how large the GO Consist are. Some are as big as the Empire Builder.
Re: Toronto 11.15 & 11.16
The GP7s were delivered with Blomberg B trucks, but many received Flexicoil trucks from 4100 series GP9s some time in the 1960s. CN decided to replace the trucks on the GP9s, and the GP7s were to be phased out of service, along with other 567B powered locomotives. Since the GP7s were approaching retirement, the decision was made to swap the trucks.AARR wrote:I didn't know that the GP7's ordered by CN had flexi coil trucks. Larger than life and twice as ugly
