Pure Michigan Trains August 2015: The Modern Pere Marquette

Nearly 70 years since the Pere Marquette was folded into the Chesapeake & Ohio, the rails of the old Michigan Road have continued to provide a pathway for goods and people across the state.

Today, in August 2015, we enjoy the scenes of the modern iteration, with scenes almost exclusively* from old Pere Marquette trackage along the Marquette Rail and CSX Transportation system, radiating out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Note: the one C&M scene takes place on ex-GTW rails, with an ex-GTW locomotive.

In the clip of the C&M, ex GT 7014 was only 3 years old when that Ford tractor was new. Just a piece of useless information. :D
