At YD, Conrail Trenton 5 gets a signal to pull north of the interlocking to shove the tanker they returned with from Jones Chemical into River Rouge Yard.

On the Marsh Track at Belanger Park, Delray Connecting RR ran a lite engine from Zug Island to Ecorse.

At River Rouge Yard, later running NS 332 makes a setoff and ties down for another crew to take the train to Oakwood.

After waiting to enter Conrail Trackage rights at Coolidge, CN 391 heads north at Pleasant St with brand new CN 3013 and a Limited Clear at the Conrail Bridge.

Meanwhile at Ecorse Jct, NS 176 was departing for the Eastside Conrail Yards and LV-35 was shoving Detroit Salt cars into Oakwood.

Back at Delray, Q132 with Union Pacific Engines passes the Classic Signals going from the NS Westbound Main to the Livernois Industrial Track.

Lastly at Oakwood, a Yard Job using the SD40-2 3481 prepares to tie down.

After receiving permission past the Lincoln Secondary Holdout by NS Bridge, Conrail RR-32 hit a Triple Crown Trailer at a private crossing into the Oakwood Triple Crown Yard. Q131 would hold at Delray for their route to be determined pending how significant the accident was.

I am loving these Detroit shots. I would to think that the railroading scene here may be down, but definitely not out. Like a boxer, train traffic takes hit after hit and still it lives.
