Frames from The Weekend 9/11-9/15

Went out east on vacation to Scranton and Altoona, PA for the weekend. Participated in a night photo shoot put on by Anthracite Railroads Historical Society, and did a few other things. Enjoy.

Nice shots, love the LV Alco. One of these years I need to get back out there before they are gone. Where was the bone yard?

Great shots of the Lehigh Valley 414. Wonderful that it still exists today. I have fond memories of riding this locomotive many times in Howell when it and sisters 413 & 415 were on a 90 day lease to the Ann Arbor Railroad. They arrived on March 16th, 1965 and stayed until June 7th, 1965. The Ann Arbor, DT&I and Lehigh Valley made a three way swap as the LV wanted to try out some of the "new" GP35s the AA and DT&I recently purchased. While 3 DT&I units went to the LV, 3 AA units went to the DT&I, and the 3 LV units came to the Ann Arbor.

We were trying to figure out if LV 414 was part of the swap. Thanks for the confirmation Bob.
