Ep. 345: CSX Y106 at Godfrey New Safetran Cantilever Signal

After directing trains since the steam era, the old EAS Godfrey Avenue Cantilever now has a new neighbor - its successor...or at least part of it.

The new mast stands nearby the venerable old one as CSX's Y106 local returns from a day out working local industries on the east side of Grand Rapids.

The cantilever part was installed just a few days later, in preparation for the eventual demise of this old Pere Marquette design.
