I made a 2 and 1/2 day trip out to IL/IA from Toledo starting mid-day Friday and back by Sunday night. In the process I spent Friday evening on the BNSF racetrack between Hinsdale & Downers Grove, woke up Saturday in Rochelle and shot UP before heading out after CP 272 and then visiting the Mississippi Palisades. From there I chased a CP train down the river from Sabula to Davenport, culminating in this classic shot coming under the government bridge in Davenport:

The next morning I lucked into a CP train with a pair of DM&E SD40-2's going the opposite way:

A while after that, both IAIS road trains came into town from opposite directions. Here's the CBBI rolling down 5th Street in Davenport:

Getting those three shots were ones I'd particularly wanted but also got a number of other shots in the area before heading back to Toledo.

Great pictures MDH! The one of IAIS is particularly unique!

nice shots man, last time I was shooting at that bridge it had water up to the bottom of it, FLOOD CENTRAL
