4-10-06

Called for Q27209, at 1:15, with UP 5117 & 9510, with 34 loads, 48 empties, for 4,890 tons, and 7,026 feet. On board, at 2:15. Well we get on the train, and find out from the yard job, that the second unit, is not equipped, and has a broken window, so we cant use it, for anything. Also that from the time they got on it, to put the train together, air has been blowing out from somewhere, under the engineers control stand, and wont stop. So the call goes out for the shop truck.

At 2:34, we see the K38509, at Crandel Rd, with CSXT 7644 & 8573, with 69 cars.

About this time, after a hour, the shop truck shows up, and he sets about trying to find the problem. At 3:56, we see the Q39410, with CSXT 2203, 6467, & 8421, with there train leaving southbound. Well by now the shop truck, has been up here a little over a hour, and he pronounces the unit dead. So the call goes out to Walbridge, about needing more power.

At 5:30, the E44109, passes with CSXT ???? & 259, with 116 cars. Then at 6:30, two units come rolling down to us and tie on. We pick up the NS 9292 & CSXT 8106. We go about getting a air test, and arming the eot. We depart at 7:45. At Dry Creek, we pass the Q24509, with CSXT 7732 & 7351, with 39 auto racks. And at GTW, we see the Q29010, at 8:22, with CSXT 5231 & CEFX 3155, with 5 auto parts, and 10 auto racks.

At Carleton, we overtake the Q13209, with CSXT 8664 & 7567 56x1 (long count) with 98 containers.

Also sitting on the Lincoln Sub, was the Q15010, with CSXT 7584 & 9241, with all empties. We arrived at New Boston, at 9:40.

We set off 23 loads, 24 empties, for 3066 tons, and 4418 feet. As we sit waiting to head north, the Q32210, pulls up along side, with CSXT 1?1, and pulls to a stop.

We depart, at 11:32, and head north for Wayne. At Wayne, we pass the E44510, at 11:50, with 285 & 483, with 98 cars. We arrive at 12:04, we set off our cars for Wayne, and take the units, back out to the remaining train of 20 cars.

At 12:27, Amtk 29, 5 cars, and Amtk 90222, go past. We get into a PTI van and off to the hotel.

Called for Q15011, at 2:45, with UP 5057, 3860, & CSXT 8238, with 22 loads, 2 empties (short count), with 4,151 tons, and 5,479 feet. We get on board at 4:45, and head off to put the train together.

As we are putting the train together, here is a list of what was seen on the Detroit Line, at CP Waterman. Around 5:00, we see a noth bound CP with 3 -9's, with about 65 cars of grain. As the end of his train, goes by we see 2 SD40-2's, with inter modal and auto racks, looked like the transfer to Rouge. At 5:38, we see another train headed for the tunnel, with SOO 6057, & 6?07, he keep referring to himself as SOO 2242, but I clearly seen the number boars on the lead unit, as 6057. At 5:40, a CP train headed for the NS, comes past, with CP 9805 & 9574, with 126 cars.

We depart Livernois, at 6:25, and stop at Delray Tower, at 6:30. At Delray, we see a noth bound CN, with WC 3000, CSXT 7817, UP 4502, GTW 4912, 5239, and 4917, with 37 cas, at 6:40. At 6:48, we see BNSF 8264, on the NS, with auto racks, heading south. We depart Delray at 7:05.

At Monroe, we pass the Q27210, at 8:15, with CSXT 8110 & 9039, with 6 mixed, 3 platforms, with 3 containers, 2 frame flats, ? racks, and 31 mixed. At Wood Rd., we pass the Q32111, at 8:25, with CSXT 5223 & HLCX 8145, with 97 cars. We stop at Sterns Rd., at 8:40, and at 9:02, Q33511, comes past with FXE 4526 & CSXT 601.

The only train we seen the rest of the way in, was a NS westbound inter modal at Vickers.

Wow a Ferromex in the lead sure hope for the crews sake it was a bi-lingual unit :-) Did the Radio Hablo Engles' ?
