1-18-06

Called out on K38517, at 22:10. We have the CSXT 8405 & HLCX 6251, for 10,696 tons, and 6,554 feet. Except for about 6 cars, they were 90% EJE (ex-BLE, exx-ROCK) hoppers, and 10% BLE hoppers.

We got on board, at 23:30 at Crandel Rd., to take on fuel. As we were sitting there, we see the Q39718, with CSXT 8530 & UP 3983, with 116 cars. We depart at 00:50, and at Dry Creek, we pass the Q30518, with Y21418 on board, with CSXT 8488 & GCFX 3061, and 81 cars.

We stop at Vickers at 1:04, and at 1:06, we have our first train. 21G with NS 9970, 9???, and UP 4???, with 90 loads, and 3 empties (long count), with 163 containers. At 1:16, we have the 26T, with NS 8865 & 2529, with 75 loads & 7 empties, with 102 containers, and 12 trailers. We depart at 1:24.

At 1:26, as we cross the diamonds, we pass the Q24518, with CSXT 9037, RLCX 8528, & HLCX 9018, with 78 autoracks. At the docks we pass the CSXT 6119, switching cars, with Y22218, at 1:46. At Hoffman Rd at 1:56, we pass the Y12118, with CSXT 6054, switching the south end of Boullvard yard, with 25 cars. At Hallett, we see the Y20118, setting off from the back side, cars for the AA, he has the CEFX 3148 & ????. We Stop at Alexis, at 2:08.

At 2:09. we see a south bound NS, with a NS and BNSF 9-44CW. We depart at 2:14, and at 2:56we pass the Q32119, at Stumpmire Rd., with GCFX 3076, UP 9895, & CSXT 1177, with 132 cars. At Chevy yard, in Wayne, we pass the K59918, building its train, with CSXT 7545 & 7620, with 52 cars. At East yard Plymouth, we see Q39919, with HLCX 8156, ready to leave, and head for Toledo, at 4:50, with 57 cars. Right around the corner, at Eckels Rd, was the Q23118, with engine troubles. He had the CSXT 8652 & NS 9831, with 5 platforms, with 6 containers, and 83 auto racks.

At Middelbelt preforming his nightly work, is the D71518, with there cab, 14 cars, and CSXT 2682. At Joy Rd, we pass the departing Q29019, with CSXT 8602, and 3 autoparts, at 5:40. And we pass a Rouge extra, shoving 18 steel coil empties back into the yard, with CSXT 1524, at 5:50. At this time we also get off our train.

Called to come back home, on Q13119, at 17:30. We have the UP 4745, and EMDX 6304, with 28 loads, (short count), with 2961 tons, and 4,209 feet.

While we are sitting in the yard office, going over our paper work, Amtk 355, head west, with a P42, 5 passenger cars, a cabbage, and a vist dome, at 18:28. We board our locos, and turn the locos, at 19:05. At CP George, we pass the Q30419, with CSXT 8408 & GCFX 3061, with 82 cars. At 20:10, we see CP 139, running light back to Windsor. He had the CP 9779, 9778, 90?? (Red Barn), 2 SD40-2's (seen all three of these units at Rouge, the day before, and didn't write down the numbers), & CP 8753 (ES44AC).

At CP Waterman, we see the NS 27Z, with BNSF 5210, with 69 racks. At 20:40, we see a southbound CP (looked like old X501), with 2 SOO SD60's, about 5 loaded containers (short count) and aprox 70 (long count) empty platforms. Then at 20:48, we see a north bound, on the old Wabash, with a CN SD75, and SD40-2W.

We depart Livernois, at 20:56, and arrive at Delray at 21:10. Here we are.

We depart, at 21:30, and at 21:40, we pass the Y2??19, at NS River Rouge bridge, heading back to the CSX, with CSXT 6132 & 8189. While we are passing by Oakwood yard, we pass two CP units sitting over yonder, the CP 8745 (ES44AC) & SOO 6614. Also not getting any number, but I did see them off in the distance, were two more CP 8700's.

At Carleton we pass the Q245, sitting on #2 track in emergency, with CSXT 8466, 7724, & GCFX 3094, with 81 autoracks. At Sterns Rd., we overtake the E97519, with CSXT 869 & 101, with 95 cars. At Boullvard yard, we pass Q15119, with BNSF 5424 & TFM 1609, with 23 loads, and 18 empties (short count), at 23:22. At 23:30, we pass the Z24719, with CN 5430 & GTW 5947, with 14 cars. At Seamen St. we pass the N82415, with CSXT 4839 & 493, with 100 cars.

At Seamen, we see the Y23019, with CSXT 2567, and 45 cars, at 00:16. And we pull up to East Broadway shortly there after, to change crews.
