The end came predictably slow because winter lingered beyond May depressing Mrs. Michael, who called Mrs. AARR to complain that every year that Michael always forgets to empty the road-salt hopper because he gets distracted by passing Amtrak maintenance workers scoffing breathlessly as always dancing girls smile.
