Actually, you guys got AMTK huratajj everytime I have gone to Cancun. In DC until Sunday afternoon, so perhaps you'll get SOMETHING. I really want to go to Harper's Ferry, but I don't think that will happen. Looks like good odds for something from Long Bridge Park in DC though.

Haha! School is closed again for tomorrow. In 11 years of school, this is the earliest close ever, behind a 6pm order for the Groundhogs Day Blizzard for that Friday. Christmas Break, originally scheduled to be 14 days long, is now at least 17 days long, with Dec 20th being canned earlier.

It is hard to have a data limit when your connection is measured in bytes

I actually read my data display wrong, and I actually had 4.29 of 5G used. I have used some since then, and have about .5G left for the week.

I still have to watch my data usage.
The community college down the street from me is back in session this week so I can go to the library there and use their guest wifi now.

Yesterday was the best day yet for TRRS1, getting 494 views, aided by my 1-25 trip report. That destroys the old 243-view record from 12-30 (Harpers Ferry uploads) and a few other 200-view days after major events like Chesterton and the MQT Santa Train. It also has Jan14 besting the old monthly record made by Dec13, which had bested Nov13.

I am now just sitting here on my couch at home after writing about my fathers death and it all reflects back on me... I have an interesting life and if my dad could make it through school and eventually work 2 jobs, I can too. I just need to get off my butt and do it. My goal this year is to finish the semester at CC, legally marry my GF, and find a job with a railroad. I HAVE to do this. I CAN do this. I know he will help me every step of the way. :') I miss you dad. I love you so much. I wish you were here to help us all through this hard time. You'd love to see what we have become.

This is the first time I've seen something blooming outside since last fall. Vernal Witchhazels are an ornamental Witchhazel which blooms in late winter. (Last year these bloomed in January, just weeks after the native Witchhazels finished blooming. Native ones bloom late Sept-early Dec.)

The cold winter ended 28 consecutive months of being able to photograph some kind of flowers outside in Southwest Michigan. (During the mild winters, you could almost always find random dandelions blooming around Berrien County close to Lake Michigan, like this one on 1/6/12)


Cold weather followed by mild weather in November 2012 confused the female part Willows.

And some Silver Maples


Really? You can't say that pu$$y willows? How about Salix discolor then.
