Single Picture of CP Rail X534 at the GTW Yard in Lansing

Unread post by RailCanon »

I was saving this picture for later, but I just figured "What the heck."

Yesterday I was out taking pictures of the endangered cantilever signal at Hope Interlocking, at the East end of the Grand Trunk's Lansing Yard. While I was looking at the new signal assembly, I noticed a headlight in the distance. It turned out to be CP Rail X534. It seems as though every time I go out Railfanning on the Trunk, I always catch this train.
Anyway, I got into position quickly, and took what may very well be the final picture of a train going under this signal.
The original photo didn't come out so well, but Photoshop fixed that right up.

How much longer this cantilever will be up is anyone's guess. Hopefully it will be a while.
That's all.
