Over the last week, Amtrak has been doing quite a bit of MOW including extra moves. Last week a train went east to Conrail to do some work at CP9, and then came back west in the same day. Yesterday on September 2nd Amtrak ran an inspection train both east and westbound over the AML. In addition to this a P32-8 and P42 led 352 east in order to get power to Jackson for a ballast train. Today the power went west to Jackson light power Amtrak 62 and Amtrak 519. So for the end of summer there has been a decent amount of activity out side of the limited passenger train schedule.
Should have a ballast train working near Jackson in the near future.
