CSX West Michigan Scanner

About 9 months or so ago, the Broadcastify on-line scanner for the CSX West Michigan started to get interference from the Grand Rapids EMS radio calls, where, a lot of the CSX road channel calls are being stepped on by those EMS calls about 5 MHz lower in frequency than the CSX's 160.230 MHz road channel frequency (either due to the EMS radio equipment or antenna having issues). I read an article the other day saying Ottawa County (includes the cities of Holland, Zeeland, & Hudsonville) had moved their EMS radios to the 800 MHz band, and, Kent County (includes Grand Rapids) will also be doing the same frequency change soon. Rumor has it they'll make that change sometime this September & that will clean up the CSX West Michigan scanner considerably. Many thanks to Amtrak1007 for providing this scanner feed! :)

No idea what or where that is & the subject matter seems to be appropriate for this thread as well, in my opinion.

The anticipated higher frequency move for the Grand Rapids EMS didn't happen, but, a filter was installed on Nov. 6th that had eliminated those calls. :D We were also hearing Weather radio broadcasts interference that basically sounded like a roaring noise - it appears most of that was eliminated, too, by this filter. Thanks again amtrak1007!

Looking forward to the elimination of that interference. So annoying!
